Grace in the Community

Thanksgiving Meals
Each November, Grace partners with some of the amazing social agencies in Erie who serve the neediest of families in our region throughout the year.  In an outpouring of generosity during Thanksgiving 2006, Grace Church gave nearly $15,000 and provided a complete holiday meal to approximately 600 needy families. Grace also hosted offsite meals for all the residents of two downtown housing complexes; Schmid Towers & Friendship Towers.

Habitat for Humanity Partnership
In 2007 Grace built a relational partnership with Habitat for Humanity and began sending Grace Teams to job sites during summer 07. We are excited to see this partnership blossom.

ServErie
Beginning this January, Grace will be formalizing several additional partnerships with other local agencies who are concerned with community reform in the Erie region. Grace will work to identify some of the biggest needs in the community and then partner with organizations who are working on the solution side of those needs. Grace is excited to roll up our sleeves and affect real change in Erie.

Moving In Moving On
In the fall and spring of each year, Grace offers a group for women who are new to the Erie area. This group provides emotional and informational support during the difficult transition of moving in to a new town.
