2007: Is it your year to go?

1 (up to 8 people)
Jan.22nd thru Jan 31st. 2007
Departs Erie on Monday Jan.22nd 2007 flying into
Ft Lauderdale, Fl. We will spend the night in
Ft Lauderdale and fly i to Cap Haitien, Haiti
on Tues. the 23rd.
Departs Cap Haitien on the 30th of Jan. flying
into Ft Lauderdale. We will spend the night in
Ft Lauderdale and fly back to Erie on the 31st
of Jan.
Team 2 (up to 8 people)
Jan 29th thru Feb 7th 2007
Departs Erie on Monday Jan29th 2007 flying into Ft Lauderdale, FL. We will spend
the night in Ft Lauder dale and fly into Cap Haitien, Haiti on Tues the 30th.
Departs Cap Haitien on the 6th of Feb flying into Ft Lauderdale. We will spend
the night in Ft Lauderdale and flack to Erie on the 7th of Feb.
Cost & responsibilities on the field:
Approx. $1400 this includes airfare from Erie to Ft Lauderdale- Ft Lauderdale
to Cap Haitien, Haiti and return to Erie. Room (2 persons to a room) in Ft Lauderdale
both ways. Transportation, room & board while in Haiti. Travelers insurance.
The only other costs you should have will be meals while traveling to and from
Erie, souvenirs, and donations to whatever church we go to in Haiti.
OMS (the missionary agency we work with) is in the process of building a new
seminary 5 miles down the road from the current campus. So all construction skills
will be useful. If construction is “not your thing” there are a lot
of other ways you can help. Helping in the Cowman school, helping in the office,
painting, cleaning, babysitting, IT. Just about anything you do here can be used
on the field.
You will need a passport!! If you don’t have one you will need to get started
on the process right away.
You will need to fill out an MFMI application and get a physical from your family
doctor.
There are no required shots for a trip to Haiti. However it is strongly recommended
that you get a prescription for Chloroquine for Malaria.
