Spiritual
Stuff
Tell us a little bit about your
spiritual journey: I met
the Lord as my Savior in December
of 1969 after Vicki and I determined
to find something to believe in.
I had lost my faith in God through
my college experience and was in
despair, contemplating suicide.
Vicki overheard me sharing that
with a friend and that is what
led us to seek “something
to believe in”. The search
led us to a group of Catholic Charismatic
Christians meeting in the living
room of a friend. We went to a
meeting to hear about the charismatic
movement, but the two men who shared
came only to speak about Jesus.
As they spoke I cried because they
were speaking about what I had
been looking for all my life. That
day I invited Christ into my heart.
What
did you do before you started working at
Grace? Worked
at GE for 34 years in a variety of manufacturing
management positions
Why
are you passionate about church and
ministry? The Apostle Paul speaks
about the church being the body of Christ.
When I got a hold of this concept I understood
why Bill Hybels says the church is the
hope of the world. The church is Christ
in the world today. I love Christ and
I love the church.
